美国密歇根大学：cryoEM Workshop 2022
Single-particle cryo-EM is a rapidly evolving structural technique that allows for the calculation of 3D structures of purified biological specimens. Recent technological developments in microscopes, cameras, and computation have led to a “resolution revolution” in the field and it is now possible to determine 3D structures under 3Å resolution.
The focus of this four-day class is to introduce participants to common image processing packages used to analyze cryo-EM data. This is a hands-on class where participants will work with instructors to learn how to independently use common software packages (RELION, cisTEM, and cryoSPARC), in addition to cryoDRGN. A key feature of the course will be the opportunity for participants to bring their own data for analysis so that they can get practical processing advice from leading experts in the field.

DCI Symposium 2022,Geneva and Lausanne
The DCI Symposium celebrates cryo-electron microscopy and the pioneering work that scientists have invested to transform this technique into the most successful Structural Biology method today. Cryo-EM was recognized in 2017 with the Nobel prize in Chemistry awarded to Jacques Dubochet, Joachim Frank, and Richard Henderson. Jacques Dubochet studied at the Universities of Geneva and Basel, made his ground-breaking developments at the EMBL in Heidelberg and at UNIL, and today is Emeritus Professor of UNIL. We start the Symposium by celebrating Jacques’ birthday on June 8.

GRC-Technical Advances in 3DEM to Study Biological Structures Across Scales
The meeting will provide a unique mixture of scientific oral and poster presentations, and ample opportunities to exchange ideas and discuss the challenges and opportunities in the 3DEM field among senior and junior scientists, mentors and trainees, established cryo-EM experts and new-comers, academics, and industry researchers at social events and poster sessions. Following the tradition of 3DEM GRCs, the 2022 meeting encourages participants to present recent and unpublished scientific results, in both oral and poster presentations. Two evening sessions are dedicated to presentations selected from posters at the meeting. As every year, due to limited attendance (<200 participants) and the over-subscribed nature of previous meetings, early registration is encouraged. In your application, please provide information, such as your research, poster title, and your advisor/PI (for junior members of our community).
